David Davenport has a tremendously diverse background in the world of entertainment. His style ranges from Classical Music and Theater to Punk Rock, Blues, and Rock N' Roll. David was born and raised in Michigan and later attended college on a vocal scholarship where he majored in Voice and Theater. During the early 80’s David performed with one of San Diego’s most popular punk bands, Claude Coma & the IV’s. After returning home to Michigan in 1982, David joined a new band, The Burdons. Their debut album peaked at #40 on US Rock Indie Charts and the group enjoyed a high level of local success. Throughout the 90’s Dave help founded Illinois-based band, Lorrie Ann & the 3D Rhythm Band. Now working on solo efforts David Davenport’s influences and background are illustrated vividly on every track. His two releases, “The Big Machine (2003)” and “One Brother (2008)”, combined have received airplay on over 180 radio stations in the US and Canada. David Davenport offers listeners a wide variety of sounds and textures in his music, ranging from roots rock, Americana, and blues, to piano driven stripped down melodies that place his vocals out front where his warm, soulful voice belongs.
